Why should free-will prostitution be legalized!

Every time a sex racket bursts, all we see in the news channels is high class / middle class women and college girls being thrown into the van, sitting in police station with their faces covered. And the big whining spree starts about our society’s defamation, culture being degraded by people doing prostitution for money, luxury etc. But we fail to understand that this improper behavior of all these women (and men) is actually good for some part of the society.

Think about this. Just because the women now have become so bold that they are willingly going in for prostitution, the number of girls or women kidnapped and threatened to get into prostitution automatically reduces. Earlier this wasn’t the case. But prostitution did exist. And none of those women back then did it willingly. They were ‘Forced’ into this and their lives were ripped apart and destroyed completely. Not only this, they lead horrible lives dominated by pimps, got paid in pennies and their children also were somehow forced into this, or they grew up to no better life.

But now these high society Actresses, struggling models, college students, housewives etc do it willingly; balance their lives and live the way they want to. They are okay with sleeping with people and making money out of it. Their families are not aware and their kids also won’t be forced into this. This also ruins their personal lives. But it’s what ‘they choose’. You can’t help it. And that’s not the only way to destroy lives isn’t it? People like Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan aren’t doing any good to their lives either.

It does sound like our culture and values would be at stake or would get doomed if this is allowed and taken positively. I agree! Selling your body just for earning extra pocket money or luxurious life-style sounds disgusting. But the rate of women being forced into this got reduced; all thanks to those women who do it willingly. Even if you stop them from doing prostitution, the demand won’t stop. And that will cost the innocence of women. Because the suppliers have to fulfill the demands of the perverts, they will get women; with or without their will.

So isn’t it better to just let the women do it and not ridicule or insult them?

Many sleep around with random people just for fun. That’s a totally characterless act! We know that but consider sleeping with people for money is liable for getting one arrested and humiliated.

We all know the page 3 reality. But we still are fans of many celebrities. But as soon as we find that the celeb slept with someone for break or ‘money’ we start hating them. Sharing our body with random people without having any feelings for them is no better than prostitution. It only means you really lack respect for yourself.

And if you think it’s better to stop prostitution, let me tell you that it will only make our society less safe. The perverts will not get satisfied until they sleep with someone. Their urge will keep growing with time and would make them aggressive enough to forcefully satisfy their need on some innocent prey. We really couldn’t stop them from being animalistic and hence the availability of prostitutes is a better option.

Women could walk safely on street because prostitution exists.

Allowing the free-will prostitution will not completely solve the human trafficking problem or forcing the kids into this. But if prostitution is legalized, a close check can be kept on these things. And it will also help us get rid of the menace caused by the depraved prostitution. Here’s how:

All the women could be mandatorily tested from time to time for STDs. It could be checked if they are under age, and if they're forced into this. They can also be provided with licenses to do so.

Not just the prostitutes but the pimps also can be provided with license, making sure that no exploitation is done on the women (with money sharing and forcing them for anything).

And practicing the flesh trade without license could be made liable for penalty and/or imprisonment.

All these procedures could be done in privacy and without disclosing any members name to public.

The hotels which aid prostitution could be legally given rating and people could know which hotels are safe to stay in. Anyways people know which hotel in their local area does this business but the others face this problem which could be solved by mandatory rating.

The laws could also strictly mention the limitation of prostitution to only certain areas which would be away from public places. Hence it would not become a menace for general public.

Rehabilitation and counseling could be given to the victims of illegal prostitution.

It can function like a corporate. After all, it’s one of the biggest businesses across the world.

The making of laws might not curb the menace completely. But it would definitely help everybody take the help of law against people spreading menace in the society and destroying innocent lives.

Laws against murder, robbery or rape do not stop crimes committed in the country, but it helps reducing the number of incidents. All we need is stringent laws, their proper execution and understanding of the issue with open mind.

We can have power to hold someone guilty, change the law, fight against it, talk about people behaving inadequately. But we surely don’t have any control over the behavior of people. You just can’t have a law to govern someone’s thinking and values. All you can do is create a situation where the damage to society or lives is narrowed down as much as it can. Or at least support a system which makes it happen!

My niece's funny chase of chocolate

My Niece whom we call Kuku had already had a half bar of chocolate and could not stop at that. So I and my brother started annoying her over the piece of chocolate. And she could not help reacting like this.

P.S: This video is shot by her own parents(who also were enjoying the view) to get her to laugh on her own when she grows up.
